Poplar burl veneer is a thin layer of rotary-cut wood veneer that comes from poplar trees in Central Europe. It's light brown to brown in color with reddish-black spots throughout the burls. Poplar burl veneer is commonly used for decorative panels, humidors, and instruments. It can also be used for interior, dry, low/medium-wear applications such as wall paneling, interior doors, furniture, ceiling panels, table- and desk-tops. However, it shouldn't be used in high wear areas, high humidity, wet, steamy, or damp conditions, or exterior applications.
